Turmeric Golden Nut Mylk

At Pure Glow we love creating recipes with our juices and nut mylks. We also love anti-inflammatory and body-loving foods, so when turmeric lattes, or ‘golden mylk’ started hitting our radar, we thought it essential to make a Pure Glow version. (You can use any plant mylk for this recipe, but if you want to make it extra creamy, our Base Mylk (made from organic cashew, coconut, medjool dates, vanilla, WA lake salt and alkaline water is the perfect fit).

Why turmeric?

Turmeric contains a wealth of powerful medicinal properties. The main active ingredient in turmeric is curcumin, which has powerful anti-inflammatory effects and is a strong antioxidant. Anti-inflammatory foods are great at combating disease, muscle and joint pain, headaches and helping you sleep!

Why golden mylk?

In addition to the benefits associated with turmeric, golden mylk is a fabulous drink to have instead of your daily cup of coffee or black tea (or in addition to)! Golden mylk helps lower inflammation and blood sugar levels. Many chronic diseases have inflammation at their root, and even if you’re pretty healthy, everyone can benefit from anti-inflammatory foods (especially if you eat an inflammatory diet containing processed foods, sugars, meat and/or grains). Sipping a cup of golden mylk a day will also help support healthy cholesterol levels, suppress symptoms of multiple sclerosis, arthritis and type 2 diabetes, protect against liver damage and even suppress tumor formation!
